Walter “Buck” Farmer, 81, of Gratztown, died Monday, April 6, 2020. He was born September 18, 1938 in Gratztown, a son of the late Walter and Margaret (George) Farmer. Buck was a member of The Church of Sutersville and had served in the Army. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle (Galway) Farmer; three children, Debbie Smith and husband, Jimi, Jay Farmer and wife Melissa, and Patrick Farmer and wife, Tina; six grandchildren, Josh Stewart and wife, Cassie, Travis Stewart, Veda Farmer, Kristopher Stewart, Patrick Farmer, and Preston Farmer; a brother, Eugene “Bud” Farmer and wife, Louise; three sisters, Patty Hadock and husband, Bill, Donna Farkas and husband, Bob, and Helen Debarr and husband, Gary; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Maurrie Rayner; brothers, Gary Farmer and Bob Farmer; and sister, Shirley Schwab. At Buck’s request, there will be no visitation.
