Virginia L. (Coates) Krofek

Virginia L. Krofek, 86, of Jeannette, died Wednesday, January 4, 2023.  She was born September 23, 1936 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys (Baker) Coates.  Prior to retirement she worked at King’s Restaurant at Willow Crossing and Lee’s Restaurant in Greensburg.  Virginia enjoyed playing cards at the casino and eating out.  Surviving are a son, John Stephen Krofek; a sister, Saundra Gamble and husband, Ed; nieces, Denise Kempka and husband, Martin, and Lisa Garland and husband, David; and great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John M. “Crow” Krofek; sister, Eleanor Fry; and brother, Thomas Coates.  According to her wishes there will be no viewing or services.  Arrangements entrusted to the J.
