Susan L. (Groff) Yacura

Susan L. Yacura, 73, of Elizabeth Township, died Monday, August 28, 2023.  She was born August 18, 1950 in Morgantown, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Grace Joan (Hudson) Groff II.  A 1969 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, she became a home health aide.  Later she graduated from CCAC with a nursing degree, and was employed by UPMC Presbyterian and Mon Valley Hospitals.  Susan was a member of Journey by Grace in Rostraver and the Sutersville Moose.  Surviving are her husband, Daniel Yacura; sisters, Patricia Murray and husband, James, Donna Groff, and Mary Ellen Crosby; a sister-in-law, Michele Fennemore and husband, Lenny; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Groff, III and Ronald Groff; and brothers-in-law, John and Stephen Yacura.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Friday.  Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
