Steven R. Kenderes, 78, of Lowber, formally of Wall, passed away December 3, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 6, 1943 to the late Stephen and Minnie (Merrick) Kenderes. Steve married his high school sweetheart Lucille and together they had 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Steve is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lucille (Szedon); and children, Deanna (Jeff) Caporaso, Rena (Vic) Carosella, and Steven (Julie) Kenderes; grandchildren, Ryan, Aly (J.R.), Josh (Ashley), Anthony (Lauren), Steven, Lauren; great-grandchildren, Luca, Adalynn, and Johnny, with another great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Carol (Denny), Suzi (Mike), Jim (Debbie), Larry, and Michale (James), grand dog Saydee and numerous nieces and nephews. Steve cherished his time with his wife, children, and family. He was an avid gardener and loved to bake and can. He was known in the community for his nut rolls, cabbage rolls, and jelly. He had the biggest heart and loved to feed everyone. Steve worked for Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh until the plant closed and then retired as a machinist at Gratton Fabricating & Welding in Adamsburg. The Kenderes family would like to extend their utmost appreciation to the nurses, doctors, and the hospital staff at Jefferson Hospital’s ICU, who took care of him his last few weeks.
