Shirley “Dutch” Etherington, 77, of Collinsburg, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018. She was born January 16, 1941 in Wyano, daughter of the late Melvin and Shirley (Corwin) Blanish. She was the owner of the former Talk of the Town in West Newton and Shirley’s Hair Center. Surviving are her husband, Thornton “Butch” Etherington; daughter, Melanie Hearring; stepson, Daniel Etherington and wife, Suzie; stepdaughter, Donna McNeil and fiancé, Robert Smith; grandsons, Cody Hearring and Kevin McNeil; granddaughter, Megan McNeil Ward; great grandsons, Justin and Jackson Ward; a brother, Norman “Tony” Blanish and wife, Millie; brothers-in-law, Richard Etherington and wife, Diane and Dennis Etherington and wife, Susan; and sister-in-law, Darlene Weaver and husband, Sandy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Terry and Randy Blanish. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the J.
