Rosalie R. (Parker) Schneider, 82, of West Newton and Germany, died Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in Germany. She was born September 4, 1943, daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalie (Netzlof) Parker. Lee had a wide circle of friends and was a member of West Newton United Presbyterian Church. Prior to retirement she taught German in the Derry and Latrobe Area School Districts, and was a member of and received her pension from the Pennsylvania State Employees retirement system. As a member of the National Honor Society, she attained her Bachelor’s Degree in German, at Grove City College, where she was a sorority member, and spent her junior year abroad in Germany via an exchange program. Later she returned to Germany obtaining her Master’s Degree in German. Lee spent many of her later years in Kiel, Germany assisting her late husband in his dental practice. Surviving are a brother, William T. Parker; sisters-in-law, Mary Parker and Atsuko Parker; nieces and nephews, Joseph M. Parker, III, John P. Parker, George P. Parker, W. Theodore Parker, and Rebecca L. Parker; great nieces and nephews; and many cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dieter Schneider; brothers, Joseph M. Parker, Jr. and Peter A. Parker; sisters-in-law, Judith (Tackett) Parker and Lana (Boyer) Parker; and a niece, Dawn L. Parker. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Thursday, December 4, 2025, in the West Newton United Presbyterian Church, 3rd and Main Streets, West Newton. Interment will follow in Mill Grove Cemetery.
