Roberta Hoadwonic, affectionately known as “LuLu”, age 78 of West Newton, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022. She was born July 22, 1944 in West Newton, a daughter of the late Robert B. and Anna (Lux) Smith. A homemaker, she was previously employed as a waitress at the former Peasant Village Restaurant. LuLu loved Bingo, casinos, oldies and jitterbugging. Surviving are a daughter, Wendy Smith; a son, Kevin Hoadwonic; grandchildren, Kevin Hoadwonic, Jr. and Kacie Bartels-Hoadwonic; great granddaughter, Isla June Hoadwonic; brother, Robert J. “Bugger” Smith; sister, Margaret “Sis” Holomshek; numerous nieces and nephews;; and her dog, Tanner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jodi Hoadwonic-Moravec. There will be no visitation. Family and friends may attend a committal service at 10 am Wednesday at West Newton Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for expenses.
