Philip A. Sherbondy

Philip A. Sherbondy, 71, of West Newton, died Thursday, September 14, 2023.  He was born February 4, 1952 a son of the late Philip and Bridget (Vrobel) Sherbondy.  Philip served in the Army during Vietnam.  A muscle car enthusiast, he was a member of numerous Street Car Associations and enjoyed building drag race cars and spending time with friends at his garage.  He mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  Also, he was a member of the West Newton Lions Club and an animal lover.  Surviving are a son, Philip H. Shebondy and wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Demetrio, Caden, Amanda, and Marilee; a brother, William Sherbondy and wife, Diane; nephews, William and James; niece, Tiffany; and his former spouse, Mary Popovich.  Friends will be received 2-5:30 pm Sunday, with a concluding service at 5:30 pm at the J.
