Paul E. Angelcyk, 77, of West Newton, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He was born December 19, 1944 in West Newton, a son of the late Edward Walter “Whitey” and Anna (Booley) Angelcyk. Prior to retirement he was a coal miner for over 40 years. A veteran of the Vietnam War he served as a Sergent in the Marine Corps. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 7812, West Newton, a member of Holy Family Church, West Newton and past president of West Newton Sportsman’s. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman, his favorite place being his camp in Tionesta. He also loved gardening and polka music. Surviving are his wife, Judith (Cornell) Angelcyk; sons, Paul J. Angelcyk and wife, Kelly and Joseph D. Angelcyk and wife, Tracey; six grandchildren; sisters, Sister M. Anne Angelcyk, SDR, Paulette Klun and husband, Gary, and Betsy Fanala; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Adrian Phillip Angelcyk. Friends will be received 10 am to 12 pm Saturday at the J.
