Naomi Ruth (Ruffner) McCune

Naomi Ruth McCune, of Mendon, passed away at home with her son and caregiver, Todd, by her side, on Monday, March 25, 2024.  She was a daughter of the late Rachel (Hough) Ruffner.  As a young girl, she worked at the 5 & 10 in Scottdale, and later in the accounting department of West Penn Power.  Naomi was a pet lover who raised Pomeranians and cats.  Surviving are her son, Todd McCune and wife, Karen; daughter, Melissa Poe; grandchildren, Aidan Poe and Bryanna Poe; a brother-in-law, Dennis Cain; and nieces and nephews.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. McCune; and sister, Clara Mae (Robert) Hall.  Friends will be received 9-11 am Thursday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 am.  Interment will follow in Barren Run Cemetery.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
