Mildred A. (Troup) Gregory

Mildred A. Gregory, 98, of West Newton, died Thursday, October 26, 2023.  She was born July 15, 1925 in Rostraver Twp., a daughter of the late Paul and Gertrude (McKelvey) Troup, Sr.  Mildred was a loving wife, mother, and aunt.  She was a faithful member of the First Church of God, West Newton.  Her husband was a survivor of Pearl Harbor and the two of them were active with the survivor’s group, spending many December 7th’s in Hawaii commemorating the anniversary.  Surviving are numerous nieces, nephew, and great nieces and great nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Gregory; her son, William “Billy” Gregory; sister, Gloria Saylor; and brothers, Jack McKelvey, and Paul, Louis, and Barry Troup.  Friends will be received 2-4 pm Sunday, followed by a service at 4 pm, at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton.  Private interment will be in West Newton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God, 157 N 2nd St., West Newton PA 15089.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
