Michael Owen Filbern, 54, of Ruffs Dale, passed away with his loving parents by his side, Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was born September 29, 1966 in Greensburg. He was the dearly loved son of Edgar Owen and Linda (Berestecki) Filbern. Michael was an over the road truck driver for 20 years, always bringing professionalism to his job. He is also survived by his loving brother, Matthew and his wife, Amanda; six nephews and nieces, Ryan and his fiancée, Bethany Whited, Amberlyanna, Jasminique, Elana, Inglish and Zakari Filbern; his aunts and uncles, Marilynne Libbos, Sally Kadylak, Dennis Berestecki and his wife, Rose, Patricia Miesel and her husband, Jack, and Rev. T. William Filbern and his wife, Linda; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents who loved him very much, Thomas O. and Betty Filbern and Bert and Norma Berestecki. Michael was an organ donor “I am a donor, giving to someone in need. My final gift, my final deed.” A private interment was held in West Newton Cemetery on Saturday, January 23, 2021.
