Michael A. “Mick” DeBernardo, Sr., passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022. He was born November 12, 1941 in Greensburg, a son of the late Anthony “Tony” and Jean (Detore) DeBernardo. Mick was an avid gardener and was really proud of his tomatoes. He was a loving father and grandfather; his grandchildren were the light of his life. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Alexis (Samios) DeBernardo; children, Shelly Lagrotteria and husband, Jeff, Lisa Fera and husband, Joe, and Michael A. DeBernardo, Jr.; grandchildren, Mikey Muro, Alexa, Jeffrey (Katie Macioce) and Nina Lagrotteria, and Michael W. DeBernardo; a brother, Anthony DeBernardo and wife Linda; and nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, John and Eugene DeBernardo. There will be no viewing or services. All family and friends are invited to join a celebration of life which will be held on what would have been his 81st birthday, at 2 pm Saturday at the Yukon Slovenian Hall, 137 Yukon Ave., Yukon PA 15698.
