Marilyn (Williams) Heath

Marilyn Heath, 91, of Smithton, died Friday, September 23, 2022.  She was born August 30, 1931, a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Gaut) Williams.  Marilyn had been employed by the former A&P in West Newton, Westinghouse, D & A Auto Auction, Motordrome 70 Speedway and Mickel Embroidery.  She was a Girl Scout Leader in Elizabeth Township and raised beagle dogs for field trials.  Marilyn enjoyed playing cards, traveling, NASCAR, and watching family participate in sports.  An outdoors woman, she also enjoyed archery and hunting.  Surviving are a daughter, Terri Day; a “daughter”, Kathy Knight and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Victoria Strickler and husband, Donald, Carrie Lynn Parris and husband, Alan, Dan Day, and Scott and Justin Knight; great grandchildren, Peyton and Conner Strickler, Keagan, Gavin, and Declan Parris; Corey Derek, Samantha and Andrew Day; a brother Ronald Williams; countless nieces and nephews; and her dog, Bandit.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Heath; brother, Kenneth Williams; sisters, Edith Walt and Sara “Sally” Chew; and son-in-law, Dennis Day.  Friends will be received 6-8 pm Sunday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton, where a funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  The family would like to thank Promise Hospice and her caregivers.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
