Joseph Lipniskis Obituary

Joe Lipniskis, 85, of Hutchinson, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025.  Born on May 14, 1940, in Hutchinson, Pennsylvania to Andrew and Cecelia (Swager) Lipniskis, Joe lived a life marked by devotion to family, friends and his love of the outdoors. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Emma Jean (Simmons) Lipniskis, who shared life's journey by his side. He is survived by two sons, Jeff Lipniskis and wife Antoinette of Sarver, and Kurt Lipniskis and partner Millie Jerez of New Kensington.   He leaves behind three grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Andrew (Ivy) Lipniskis of White Oak, Zachary (Michaila) Lipniskis of North Huntingdon, and Sarah (Peyton) Kadyk of Saxonburg.  Joe is also survived by a loving sister-in-law, Sara Jane Simmons, of Gratztown. Joe served as a United State Marine stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. His service to his country was a great source of pride. He was employed for many years at Fabco Fastening Systems in West Newton and subsequently served the Yough School District as Director of Transportation and Maintenance. Joe had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed time at his cabin near Benezette, in the heart of Pennsylvania's elk country. He found joy in watching the elk and all wildlife.   In addition, Joe was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman. A devoted sports fan, Joe never missed a Steelers or Penguins game. He also loved watching television, particularly action movies and shows. Services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home in West Newton. Should anyone wish to honor Joe with a memorial tribute, donations can be made in Joe’s name to the Keystone Elk Country Alliance, 134 Homestead Drive, Benezette, PA 15821 or on-line at https://experienceelkcountry.com/keca-memorial-and-honor-gifts/
