John M. Toth, 82, of Sutersville, died Monday, June 24, 2024. He was born December 4, 1941 in Reduction, a son of the late Mike Toth and the late Augusta “Sue” (Farlow) Fabrizio. Prior to retirement he was the owner and operator of J & M Plumbing and Heating and was also previously employed by Westinghouse. John served the Air Force during the Vietnam era. He was a former member of the Sutersville sewage board. John was dedicated to his family, friends and customers; and loved nature. Surviving are his longtime companion, Merilee “Mel” McNerney; two daughters, Lisa Childers, and Janet Baker and husband, Chris; five grandchildren, Jessica McLaughlin and husband, Art, Valerie Childers, Melissa Bailey, Nicholas Childers, and Steven Havens and wife, Caroline; four great grandchildren, Austin McLaughlin, Cashlin Harbour, Savannah Hoffer, and River Havens; and a sister, Margaret McKee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Toth. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. A committal service with military honors will take place at 2 pm Wednesday, July 17, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville PA 15017.
