John P. “Jack” Landsperger, 76, of West Newton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born February 2, 1949 a son of the late Norman and Margaret (Davenport) Landsperger. Surviving are his wife, Sharon (Vilchek) Landsperger; the joy of his life, granddaughter, Rhiannon Lash; mother-in-law, Pricilla Vilchek; son-in-law, Rich Lash; brother-in-law, Steven Vilchek; and numerous special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding him in death was his beloved daughter, Tiffany Lash; brother, Barry Landsperger; sister, Melodye Griffith; and nephew, Timmy. Jack graduated from West Newton High School, Class of 1967, and his talent and basketball skills showed on the court. A member of First Baptist Church, West Newton, it proved to be his home away from home, especially when it came to singing and serving his Lord. He loved his church, his church family, and especially singing God’s praises with the John and the Baptists Quartet. Having worked for many years at Fabco Fastening Systems in West Newton, he secured and retired as a meter reader for West Penn Power. Jack enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, sharing God’s word! To know Jack was to love him. As per Jack’s wishes, there will be no viewing. Arrangements entrusted to the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, West Newton. Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
A celebration service of song and sharing will take place on Sunday, July 27, at 10:50 am, at the First Baptist Church, 201 S 6th St., West Newton.
