Joann E. "Joni" Floriani

Joann E. “Joni” Floriani, 78, of West Newton, died Sunday, May 9, 2021.  She was born July 7, 1942 a daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Risko) Floriani.  Prior to her retirement she was a secretary for Holy Family Church, West Newton and Sabins Manufacturing, Versailles.  Joni was a member of Holy Family Church, liked to cook and was an avid sports fan that looked forward to all the Prates, Penguins and Steelers games.  Surviving is her sister, Dolores Floriani.  Friends will be received 6-8 pm Thursday at the J. William McCauley, Jr Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton.  Masks must be worn and social distancing be maintained.  The amount of people permitted in the funeral home at once is 60, so please limit your visit out of respect for others.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday in Holy Family Church.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church or American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
