Jeffrey A. Markle, 69, of West Newton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a three year battle with cancer, on November 16, 2021. He was born April 26, 1952 to the late Harold and Martha (Overand) Markle. A lifelong resident of West Newton, he attended the Madison United Methodist Church faithfully, and retired after more than 35 years as a manager for Giant Eagle. Jeff was very passionate about hunting and fishing, and most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William J. (Joyce) Markle. Surviving are his loving wife of more than 30 years, Janice (Yumin) Markle; two sons, Daniel J. (Kelly) Markle of West Newton and Ryan A. (Lynne) Markle of Ruffsdale; his younger brother, Larry E. (Sharon) Markle of Collinsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Donald Jakubek and his staff at Excela Health, Dr. Dulabh K. Monga at AGH Cancer Center, as well as AGH Hospice for their exceptional care that he received during the final days of his battle. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton. The family requests that everyone wear a mask and limit the time of their visit.
