Jason L. Demko, 47, of West Newton, died Sunday, January 9, 2022. He was born January 16, 1974 in Pittsburgh, son of the late John and Judith (Peluchette) Demko. Jason was a Vice President and Senior Tech Recruiter for Bank of NY Mellon, where he received the 2021 Male Ally of the Year award from the Women in Tech. He was a graduate of Fox Chapel High School, Class of 1992 and served 12 years in the Marine Corps. An avid hunter of deer and coyote, he also coached club, high school, and college soccer, and was a member of VFW Post 7812, West Newton. Jason was part of the K-9 training for drug task forces in multiple counties and municipalities. Surviving are two daughters, Allyson M. Demko of Allentown and Alexis N. Demko of Canonsburg; a grandson, Grayson P. Hadian; a sister, Terri (Jim) Demko Brown of McKinney, Texas; and his fiancée, Anita Lux, and her daughters, Emma M. Augustine and Alli J. Augustine. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Tracey Lee Demko. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday, with a service at 8 pm, at the J.
