Janice Territ, 89, of Sutersville, died Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at TLC Adult Care Center. She was born July 16, 1936 in Sutersville, a daughter of the late Bill and Mary McCorkle. Janice worked at the Elizabeth Forward School District in the school cafeteria. She also worked at Butlers Golf Course in their restaurant. Her greatest passion was her gardening and canning her beans, which she gave away to everyone. She enjoyed her trips to Mooseheart and Moose conventions with her friend, the late Dennis Keegan. She loved her trips to camp and just being with her family and friends. Surviving are her son, Robert Territ and wife, Deborah; her grandchildren, Rachel King and husband, Andrew and Andrea Territ; her great grandchildren, Ariel, Kristina and Lucas King; her brother, Bob McCorkle and wife, Loretta; brother-in-law, Merle Johnson; and sister-in-law, Shirley McNamara. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Territ; sister, Josephine Johnson; and brother, Bill McCorkle. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Kerry, Mary, Robin, Bridgitte and Peggy, who helped keep her in her home as long as possible. Also we would like to express our thanks to the staff at TLC Adult Care Center and Bridges Hospice for their care of Janice. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine St., West Newton, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Monday. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
