Janet L. (Momeyer) Farmer

Janet L. Farmer, 89, of West Newton, died Wednesday, October 4, 2023.  She was born March 8, 1934, a daughter of the late Ernest and Irene (Brown) Momeyer.  Janet was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church, West Newton, and a member of the West Newton Women’s Club.  She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.  Surviving are four children, Barry Farmer and wife, Sharon (Evancho), Rebecca Farmer Kwaczala and husband, Jeffrey, Amy Farmer Wilson and husband, Kenneth, and Vicki Farmer Corwin and husband, Kerry; five grandchildren, Jordan Farmer and wife, Adriane, Kacie Dopirak and husband, Josh, Justin Wilson and wife, MacKenzie, Christine Horwat and husband, Ben, and Samantha Fox and husband, Josh; great grandchildren, Amelia Farmer, Luke Wilson, Leo Dopirak, and Bentley Fox; step great grandchildren, Joey and Bobby Dopirak; and a sister, Lois Martin and husband, Don.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville J. Farmer.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton.  Services will be held at 11:30 am Monday in Christ Lutheran Church, Vine and 4th St., West Newton.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  A special thanks to Melanie and Brenda at Promedica Hospice and the wonderful caring staff at TLC.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
