Jakob Lee Cochran

Jakob Lee Cochran, 28, of West Newton, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023, after a long battle with addiction.  He was born August 10, 1994, a son of Tammi Jo (Howard) Cochran and Jeffery Lee Cochran.  Jakob was a loving father, son, and brother and loved spending time with his family.  He was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School where he completed their Voc Tech program for welding and played football.  An avid Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates fan; he enjoyed playing video games.  Surviving in addition to his mother and father are, three children, Carson, Cody and Carmen; a brother, Jericho Cochran; his maternal grandmother, Sandy Howard; aunts and uncles, Wayne Howard and wife, Candy and Tracy McKivitz and husband Robert; and many many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Wayne Howard; paternal grandparents, David and Darlene Cochran; his godfather, Joseph Mlinek; and his godmother, Nellie Melinek and husband, Ronald.  Jakob will be missed by his special friend, “Peanut”.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the J.
