Howard B. Sutton, 90, of West Newton, died Sunday, July 21, 2024. He was born December 23, 1933 in Elizabeth, a son of the late Clarence and Helen (Frye) Sutton. Prior to retirement he was employed by U.S. Steel Homestead Works. Howard was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church, the LOOM #31 of West Newton, and volunteered at the West Newton Senior Center. He attended many dances with his lady friend, Ginny Patton. Surviving are his daughters, Catherine Votino and husband, Thomas, Lori Newman and husband, Michael, and Lisa Manley and husband, Harry; 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche (Quinn) Sutton; children, Carol Ann, Ronald, and Richard Sutton, and Teri Farnsworth; and brothers, Clarence “Wes” and Ronald Sutton. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Thursday in Round Hill Presbyterian Church, 2150 Round Hill Church Rd., Elizabeth. Everyone will meet at church. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
