Gloria Jean (Lindich) Kovac passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. She was born on May 6, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Albina (Indof) Lindich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Kovac, to whom she was wonderfully married for 62 years, excellent dancers, they could often be found making rounds on the dance floor at Yukon Slovenian Hall, and by sisters, Amy Davis, and Mary Rechichar, and brother, Henry “Hank” Lindich. Surviving are her loving sister, Patricia “Bette” August of West Newton and brother, Don Lindich of Plantation, Florida; three sons, F. Gary Kovac and wife Janet of Sewickley; Terry A. Kovac and Jennifer, and her sons Lewie and Mark; and Barry D. Kovac and Lori, all of Yukon; her grandchildren who she showered with endless amounts of love: Erika (Kovac) Parker and husband Jack, Christopher, Brianna, and Emily; and many nieces and nephews. Gloria was a member of the Church of the Seven Dolors, its Christian Mothers, and Yukon Slovenian Hall. She adored all of those around her, enjoyed bringing the family together, and was a wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother (Mamma), aunt, and friend. As per her wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, June 19 at the Church of the Seven Dolors, Yukon, where all are welcome.
