Gloria Jean (Spencer) Bohy

Gloria Jean Bohy, 94, of West Newton, died Sunday, November 23, 2025. She was born July 27, 1931, a daughter of the late Carl and Jennie Spencer.  Gloria previously cooked for the parsonage of Metro Baptist Temple in Belle Vernon.  She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed pranking them.  She was sassy, but lighthearted, always with a smile.  Accomplished at sewing, she also enjoyed drawing and painting, and had a sweet tooth.  Surviving are daughters, Betsy Doran and husband, Richard, and Ellen Jane Spencer; and grandchildren, Zachary Pons, Cole Doran, Riley Doran, Caden Doran, Conner Doran, Ryan Doran, and Sarah Doran.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bohy; five brothers; four sisters; and her pets, Cupid and Chloe.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine St., West Newton, where a funeral Service will be held at 10 am Saturday.  Interment will follow West Newton Cemetery.  The family wishes to thank the staff and bus drivers at Senior Life for their kindness.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
