Garrett P. Lucas

Garrett P. Lucas, 51, of West Newton, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023.  He was born July 26, 1971, a son of Brenda (Leasure) Lucas and the late Joseph P. Lucas, Jr.  In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter, Jayden Lucas; stepson, Saige Trotter; sister, Kendra Weaver; aunts, Trenice Lucas and Helen Riggs; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Jim Lucas; and his grandmother, Helen Leasure.  Friends will be received 2-7 pm Thursday, followed by a celebration of Garrett’s life at 7 pm, at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton.
