Frank C. Krzemien, 95, of West Newton, died Tuesday, February 14, 2023. He was born May 17, 1927 in Mollenauer, a son of the late Frank and Rose (Pluta) Krzemien. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Navy. Frank was a lifetime member of VFW in Mt. Pleasant and was a member of Sever Dolors Church, Yukon and Hecla Sportsmen’s Club. Prior to retirement he was employed by U.S. Steel Irvin Works. Surviving are three sisters, Anna Popek, Helen Milewski and Josephine Hribar; loving niece, Rosemarie Kirkpatrick; two special great great nephews, Jase and Cole Hribar; sister-in-law, Doreen Sever; and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Sever) Krzemien; son, Frank C. Krzemien, Jr.; brothers, Stanley and John Krzemien; and sister, Rose Czarnecki. Friends will be received 4-8 pm Friday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday in Seven Dolors Church, Yukon. Interment with military honors will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
