Florencia (DeVera) Mattis

Florencia “Lhett” Mattis, 57, of West Newton, died Sunday, June 28, 2020.  She was born November 7, 1962 in the Philippines, a daughter of the late Ignacio and Mercedes (Pitallana) DeVera.  Lhett was an avid bird watcher.  Surviving are her husband, Carmen Yates; daughter, Florence Mattis; and several siblings.  Friends will be received 6-8 pm Thursday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine St. West Newton.  For everyone’s protection, please abide by the state’s directives that masks are to be worn and social distancing be maintained.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.   Donations and condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhomes.com
