Edward T. Aaron Jr., 81 passed on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Ed was born July 12, 1942, in McKeesport. He was the son of the late Edward "Ted" and Edna (Kussard) Aaron of Turkeytown. Ed married his high school sweetheart, Nicol Bosetti, of Smithton on May 26, 1962, and they spent 61 beautiful years together. Father of Tammie Aaron-Barrada and late husband, Ahmed Barrada, of Ruffs Dale, and Mark Aaron and wife Theresa (Rehill) Aaron of Alpharetta, GA. Pappy to grandchildren, Omar Barrada, Laila Barrada, Brady Aaron and Erika Aaron whom he adored. Recently, the family had the honor of celebrating Ed and Nicol’s 60th wedding anniversary and Ed’s 80th birthday with family and friends in Gatlinburg, TN. Ed was predeceased by brothers, Regis, Robert, William, Bruce and sister, Judy Dumsick. He is survived by brothers, Raymond Aaron and wife, Sandy; Timothy Aaron and Kathy; sister, Katherine Shychuck and husband Robert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved him as well as Nicol's Brother Paul Bosetti and wife Rose. Ed graduated from South Huntington High School in 1960 and was a horticulture student and immediately thereafter joined the United States Coast Guard and served on the Ice Breaker Makinaw while stationed in Cheboygan, MI. Ed was a founding member of the Turkeytown Volunteer Fire Department where he served his community for 53 years. Ed was employed as a pipefitter for over 40 years at Christy Park Works in McKeesport. When not traveling, Ed was an avid gardener of 12 foot tomato plants and a beautiful flower garden, all around handy man, wood worker, carver and loved playing pool for the Wyano Vets with all his friends. Family and friends will be received at J. William McCauley Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton, 2-7 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2023 and 10-11 am Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at which time a service will be held at 11:00.
