Dennis J. Keegan

Dennis J. Keegan, 81, of Sutersville, died Sunday, August 27, 2023.  He was born August 28, 1941 in Sutersville, a son of the late Joseph and Hazel (Wilson) Keegan.  Prior to retirement he was employed by US Steel Irvin Works.  Dennis was a lifetime member of the Sutersville Moose, where he received the Pilgrim Degree and was recognized as Administrator of the Year.  He was also a member of Holy Family Church, West Newton.  Dennis loved to go to his cabin in the mountains, especially to fish with his great nephews.  Surviving are sisters, Arlene Keegan and Margaret “Peggy” DelDuca; brothers, Joseph Keegan and Robert Keegan and wife, Cathy; niece, Brigitte Schutter and husband, Jason; nephew, Robert Keegan; great nieces and nephews, Wyatt Keegan, Jonah Schutter, Tanner Keegan, and Sydney Schutter; and his special friend, Janice Territ.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, MaryAnn Keegan; and infant sister; and infant niece; and brother-in-law, John DelDuca.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Thursday in Holy Family Church, West Newton.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mooseheart.org.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
