Dan S. Roebuck, Sr., died Friday, September 30, 2022. He was born June 25, 1949, son of the late Philip and Mildred (Harris) Roebuck. Prior to retirement he was employed as a meat cutter at several local grocery stores. Dan was a youth baseball and football coach for 26 years. A Steelers and local sports teams fan, he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren at their sporting events. Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was known for smoking his pipe. Surviving are his wife, Mary (Ulichnie) Roebuck; four sons, Dan S. Roebuck, Jr. and wife, Noel, David Roebuck and wife, Missy, Scott Roebuck and wife Yasmine, and Michael Roebuck and wife, Jerica; 13 grandchildren, Louis, Nancy, Nathaniel, Brendan, Kylie, Issam, Gavin, Kadence, Kaelyn, Adaline, Fatima, Lucas, and Makayla; a great granddaughter, Sophia; and a sister, Linda Douglas and husband, Larry. Friends will be received 4-8 pm Tuesday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the family to be used to support local area youth sports; this can be done at the funeral home or on the funeral home website.
