Colleen H. (Brown) Brightshue

Colleen H. Brightshue, 85, formerly of West Newton, died Wednesday, September 10, 2025.  She was born August 13, 1940 in Lawrence County, a daughter of the late, Harold and Bertha (Walters) Brown.  Colleen loved to sing and dance, especially to Patsy Cline.  Her faith was important to her.  Surviving are five children, Jerry L. Brightshue, Colleen H. Triplett and husband, Roger, Wayne S. Brightshue, Charles W. Brightshue, and Thomas L. Brightshue and wife, Cheri; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; four sisters, Marilyn Gaydosh, Wilhelmina Medved, Eugenia Adams, and Audrey Adams.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy E. Brown; and sisters, Darlene Crothers, Joan Christy, Marsha Brown, and Sue Ellen Brown.  As per her wishes there will be no visitation or services.  Arrangements entrusted to the J.
