Chester Zowacki Obituary

Chester W. Zowacki, 90, of Sutersville, died Friday, October 12, 2018. He was born November 3, 1927 in Gratztown, a son of the late Joseph Zowacki and the late Veronica (Rush) Zowacki Floriani. A veteran of World War II, Chester served in the Army. Prior to retirement he was employed by US Steel Irvin Works. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Rose Marie (Swindell) Zowacki; two children, Kimberly Zowacki and Charles Zowacki; two grandchildren, Keli Flanigan and husband, Sean, and Chad Zowacki and fiancée, Amber; great grandchildren, Ethan and Faith Flanigan, and Riley and Madelyn Zowacki; a brother, John Floriani and wife, Pam; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Zowacki, Eugene Floriani, and Bernard Floriani; and sisters, Helen Opachick, Doris Zupanc, and Rose Mary Taylor. Services will be private. Interment will be in West Newton Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, West Newton.
