Charles E. Harvey, 90, of West Newton, died Monday, September 29, 2025. He was born August 16, 1935, a son of the late Howard and Beatrice (Tannehill) Harvey. Prior to retirement he was a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service for 40 years. Immediately after retirement, he continued to work for the Postal Service for over 20 years as a contract janitor. He also renovated and owned rental properties, did carpet installation and floor refinishing. After completely retiring, the front porch was his favorite spot, speaking to those walking by. Chuck served in the Army, was a Golden Gloves Champion boxer with the Charleroi Athletic Club, and was a lifelong member of Sewickley Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Judith (Addy) Harvey; children, Paloma (Paul) Harvey, Howard Harvey, and Rebecca Gulaskey and husband, Ron; grandchildren, Calvin Harvey, Cadence Gulaskey, and Hunter Gulaskey; a sister, Ruth Ann Kmetz; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Lloyd Harvey. As per Chuck’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm Saturday, October 18, at the Keystone Rail House Event Center (next to Gary’s Chuck Wagon), 115 S 2nd St., West Newton. Arrangements entrusted to the J.
