Catherine M. (Moncalvo) Vay

Catherine M. Vay, 96, of Lowber, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Thursday, May 5, 2022.  She was born December 21, 1925 in Lowber, daughter of the late John and Anna Rose (Rosso) Moncalvo.  Catherine was the owner of the former Bob’s Place in Lowber.  She was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver.  An avid sports fan, she loved her family and friends.  Surviving are a son, Keith Vay and wife, Kathy; daughter-in-law, Edie Vay; grandchildren, Kelly Vay, Kim Vay, Jeffrey Vay and wife, Brandy and Amy Freeman and husband, Ron; great grandchildren, Jaiden Vay, Cole Vay, Nicholas Freeman and Dessa Freeman; Goddaughter, Georgean McCarthy; and niece, Lois Kretchen and husband, Greg.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vay and son, Allen Vay.  Friends will be received 4-8pm Monday at the J.
