Carol M. (Planey) Brinko Freund

Carol M. Brinko Freund, 76, of Algonquin, Illinois, formerly of West Newton, died Thursday, December 16, 2021.  She was born June 20, 1945, daughter of the late Steve and Bertha Marie (Birocheck) Planey.  Carol was a nail technician for over 20 years. She loved her job so much that her clients became her friends. She was a loving, caring and hardworking woman that put others before herself and was always willing to help someone.  Her laughter was infectious and always brought joy to those around her. An amazing mom and “Grammy”, she loved her family with every piece of her heart.  She had a strong love for God and her country.  Surviving are two children, Bonnie (Brinko) Bailey and husband, Brian, and Chris Brinko and wife, Teanna; five grandchildren, Sierra and Dylan Bailey and Dominic, Aria and Della Brinko; a brother, Stephen Planey and wife, Theresa; and nephews.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8pm Wednesday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Thursday.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
