Carmen A. Beneccio, 74, of Monessen, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He was born May 18, 1949, son of the late Arnold and Edith (Salvino) Beneccio. Prior to retirement he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Carmen was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen, NRA, and Rostraver Gun Club. An avid hunter and civil war enthusiast, he was known for his wit and humor. Like his dad, he was a lifelong New York Yankees fan. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Stanchik) Beneccio, three sons, Vito Beneccio, Marcello Beneccio, and Sereno Beneccio and wife, Danica; two grandchildren, Fiona and Sergio; and numerous cousins. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, Barry R. Beneccio, Jr., Supervisor, 901 Vine Street, West Newton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen. Everyone is to meet at church.
