Bessie A. "Becky" (Wunderlich) Brown

Bessie A. “Becky” Brown, 90, of West Newton, died Monday, June 11, 2018.  She was born January 23, 1928 in Forward Township, a daughter of the late Charles and Bessie (Coughenour) Wunderlich.  She had been employed by Wagoner Gas and Oil and was a longtime cook at the Collinsburg Fire Company Bingo.  Becky’s greatest joy was her involvement with her grandchildren.  Surviving are two sons, Kirk W. Brown III and wife, Tracy, and David Brown; two grandchildren, Alyssa Ann and Kirk Matthew Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kirk W. Brown, Jr.; brothers, Albert, Clyde, Charles, and Harvey Wunderlich; and sisters, Mary Miller, Jean Drechsler, Marjorie Rothey, and Freda Higgins.  Friends will be received 6-8 pm Wednesday and 2-4 & 6-8pm Thursday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine St. West Newton, where services will be held at 1pm Friday.  Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhomes.com
