Obituary

Bernard George Resetar, 86, of West Newton, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, Sunday, January 16, 2022.  He was born September 9, 1935 in Homestead, a son of the late George Bernard and Mary (Smykowski) Resetar.  Prior to retirement he was employed by US Steel Irvin Works.  Surviving are his wife, Nancy (Striker) Resetar; a son, Steven Resetar and wife, Kelli; a daughter, Patricia Rupp; grandchildren, Kyle Resetar, Scott Rupp, Shaun Rupp, and Seth Rupp, all of Georgia; a brother, Paul J. Resetar;  sisters, Georgia DuCoeur and husband, Raymond and Mary E. Resetar; and nieces, Mary Iris DuCoeur and Lucy Maria DuCoeur, all of West Newton.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother, Mary (Trasky) Resetar.  Viewing and services will be private.  Interment will take place in West Newton Cemetery.  The family would like to thank Bridge’s Hospice and nurses, Bridget and Lori for their exceptional care during the past two years.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bridge’s Hospice or the Parkinson’s Foundation.  Arrangements entrusted to the J.
