Barbara A. (Huss) Puckey

Barbara A. Puckey, 81, of West Newton, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Wednesday, December 6, 2023.  She was born July 31, 1942 in Sutersville, a daughter of the late William and Anna (Chopp) Huss.  Barbara was a member of Holy Family Church, West Newton, and its Confraternity of Christian Mothers.  A loving mother, she was happiest when her family was all together and cooking dinners for them.  Surviving are her husband of 57 years, William Puckey; sons, William and wife, Tami, Steven and wife, Julie, Kevin, Daniel and wife, Marcia, and Joseph; grandchildren, Bill and wife, Nicole, Cory, Abby, Lily, Riley, Sydney, Emily, and Megan; great grandchildren, Lexus and Mason; brothers, George Huss and wife, Charlene, Howard Huss and wife, Dorothy, and Carl Huss and wife, Roxanne; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Huss; brothers, William, Edward, Henry, Joseph, and Ronald Huss; and a granddaughter, Jenna.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Tuesday in Holy Family Church, West Newton.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or you can donate blood at a local blood bank.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
