Arlene Joyce (Krizner) Tomich, age 85, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on December 24, 2023. Arlene was born on August 17, 1938 to the late Frank and Vera (Scherer) Krizner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Christopher Tomich, Jr. She is survived by three children, Linda Tomich of Kansas City, MI, Lana Sandin and husband, Weston, of Laughlintown, Krist Tomich and wife, Nikki of Herminie; two brothers, Frank Krizner and wife, Jacque of Phillippe, W.V. and Bill Krizner and wife, Carol of Bedford. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Whitney, Sarah (Ben), Heather (Cameron), Stephen, Rachael (Alex) and Karlie (Jared) and two great-grandchildren, McKenna and Addison, who brought her great joy. Arlene retired from her job as a Food Service Director at Nutrition, Inc. After her retirement, she enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, and spending time with her family and friends. She attended the First Church of God in West Newton from the time she was a child, and the church was an essential part of her life. Having lived her entire life in West Newton, she was passionate about her town and community. She will be greatly missed. Friends will be received 3 - 7 pm Thursday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Friday in the First Church of God, 157 N 2nd St., West Newton. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH. Arlene’s family would like to thank Stephanie and Rob Short and the staff at TLC Adult Care in West Newton for everything that they did for Arlene in her final months and for allowing her to remain in her beloved town of West Newton.
