Samuel J. Yex

Samuel J. Yex, 89, of Collinsburg, died Thursday, May 31, 2018.  He was born December 18, 1928 in Collinsburg a son of the late James and Anna (Grosley) Yex.  Prior to retirement he was a truck driver for Super Valu.  A life member of the Collinsburg Lierderkranz he was also a volunteer fireman in Collinsburg for over 20 years.  Surviving are his wife, Marie (Grushecky) Yex; three children, Charles Yex and wife, DesCygne, Cheryl Barozzie and husband, Allen, and William Yex and wife, Cheryl; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Adaline Lesniak and a brother, Charles Yex.  Services and burial were private.  A special thank you to Walnut Ridge Memory Care and Caring Hospice Services for their kindness and compassion in caring for our loved one.  Arrangements entrusted to at the J.
