Lowell Wesley Van Kirk was born May 5, 1959, and on December 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife and children, journeyed to heaven. Lowell was a giant of a man. He loved his family fiercely. An intellectual giant, he had a mind that understood complex things like quantum physics, black holes, other
dimensions, and he liked to ponder the universe. He understood computers, computer controlled systems, electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics
and many other systems which he applied as the plant engineer for DeLallo's. A fan of Star Trek and in particular, Spock, Lowell liked the Vulcan salute, live long
and prosper. At home, Lowell could fix everything and took great joy and pride in his children. Preceding him in their journey are his daughter, Sandra Van
Kirk and father, H. Allan Van Kirk. Surviving are Bonnie Robb Van Kirk, loving and devoted wife of 34 years; daughter, Kelly Van Kirk; and sons,
Donald Van Kirk and Rance Van Kirk; mother, Lois Van Kirk; siblings: Randolph (Martha) Van Kirk, Reid (Cherrill) Van Kirk, Karen Finucane, Kathryn Kier,
Evelyn (Rene) Levino, and Vivian Van Kirk; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lowell's family would like to thank everyone for all their prayers, support,
and kind deeds. A special thanks to DeLallo's for their extraordinary compassion. As Lowell was a very reserved man, there will only be a private
family memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for expenses and the care of the children can be sent to 971 State Route 981, Smithton, PA 15479. Arrangements entrusted to the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, West Newton. Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhomes.com
