John R. McCune

John “Johnny” Robert McCune of Mendon, died Thursday, March 8, 2018.  He was a lifetime farmer.  A hard worker who never retired, he was employed over 20 years at FABCO, was self-employed for many years, and had over 30 years with Air-Tek of Irwin.  Surviving are his wife, Naomi (Ruffner) McCune; children, Todd R. McCune and Melissa R. Poe; grandchildren, Aidan and Bryanna Poe; brother-in-law, Dennis Cain; and sister-in-law, Clara Mae (Robert) Hall.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth (Lynch) McCune; and a sister, Elizabeth Cain.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 901 Vine St. West Newton, where funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday.  Interment will follow in Barren Run Cemetery.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com
