Eleanor (Knasinsky) Stanchik

Eleanor Stanchik, 99, of Smithton, died Monday, May 7, 2018.  She was born March 2, 1919 in Braddock, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Chec) Knasinsky.  Her love was baking, gardening and her flowers.  Surviving are a son, Bernard Stanchik and wife, Eiko, of Chandler, Ariz.; two daughters, Donna Kline and husband, Rick, and Shirley Beneccio and husband, Carmen, both of Monessen; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Stanchik; and a sister, Frances Bavolar.  Friends will be received 3-7 pm Tuesday at the J.
