Donald W. "Deke" Malanowsky

Donald W. “Deke” Malanowsky, 74, of West Newton, passed away at his home on Monday February 5, 2018.  He was born December 25, 1943 a son of the late Adolph and Jennie (Peternal) Malanowsky.  Prior to retirement he was employed at U.S. Steel Irvin works.  Deke enjoyed fishing with his brothers on Pymatuning Lake and the Yough River, as well as walking, hunting, and other outdoor activities.  He was a member of the Slovenian Club, German Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Moose Lodge, of West Newton, and the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen Club.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Pregrad) Malanowsky.  Surviving are his brothers, Frank (Annette) Malanowsky of West Newton and Ed (Kathye) Malanowsky of Greensburg.  As per his wishes, there will be no public viewing or services.  Arrangements entrusted to the J.
