Bonita (Martinelli) Lofts

Bonita Martinelli Lofts, 76, of West Newton, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018.  She was born May 4, 1942 in McKeesport, daughter of the late A. Bernard and Hulda (Lander) Martinelli.  Bonita graduated from West Newton High School, class of 1960 and Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing in 1963.  She practiced nursing for 44 years, retiring in 2007 as office nurse for Drs. Edgar and Joy Boone.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, West Newton, DTWN, and the West Penn Nurses Alumni Association.  Surviving are sons, Roy Lofts and wife, Courtney, of Doylestown, and Troy Lofts of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren, Troy Lofts, Nadia Lofts, Madison Lofts, and Emma Lofts; a brother, Bernard Martinelli and wife, Sandra, of Greensburg; nephew, Bernard Martinelli and wife, Terri; nieces, Leanna Anderson and husband, Richard, and Erin Miller and husband, Daniel.  There will be no public viewing.  A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 5, 2019, in Christ Lutheran Church, Vine and Fourth Sts., West Newton.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, West Newton Public Library, or Wounded Warrior Project.  Arrangements entrusted to the J.
