Rose (Sterner) Jarmon

Rose Jarmon, 86, of Elizabeth Twp., died Thursday, February 1, 2024.  She was born May 15, 1937 in Elizabeth Twp., a daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Manor) Sterner.  Prior to retirement she was a nursing assistant at Cedars of Monroeville Nursing Home.  A loving mother and grandmother, Rose was a member of Bible Fellowship Church, West Newton.  Surviving are eight children, John Jarmon, Jr., Peggy Tekavec and husband, Frank, Liz Booth, Cathy Ormond and husband, Jack, Joseph Jarmon, Kenneth Jarmon and wife, Kimberly, George Jarmon and fiancé, Jackie, and Tracey Noble and husband, Jim; a son-in-law, Jack Deutsch; 18 grandchildren, Valerie, Michael, Robert, Tammy, Beverly, Carrie, Jamie, Peggy, John, Angelena, Fredrick, Rose, Kenneth Jr., Casey, Amanda, George Jr., Brittani, and Katelyn; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Jane Celapino, Emma Celapino, and Linda Sterner.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Jarmon; daughters, Jackie Deutsch and Rose Marie Jarmon; a son, Arthur Jarmon; a granddaughter, Kelsey Marie; sisters, Helen Mortle and Barbara Shivak; and daughters-in-law, Sue Jarmon and Sherry Jarmon.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton.  A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Monday at Merritt @ the Outpost Church, 2801 Douglas Run Rd., Elizabeth, PA 15037.  Everyone is to meet at church.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
