Elizabeth A. (Horne) Schneider

Elizabeth A. “Liz” Schneider, 61, of West Newton, died Thursday, March 7, 2024.  She was born July 8, 1962, daughter of the late Fred and Victoria (Streets) Horne.  Liz was employed by Fayette Resources for over nine years, and previously by Laurel Highlands Foundation, as a direct support person for people with intellectual disabilities.  A member of Faith Lutheran Church, West Newton, she was a caring loving person who was well respected.  Surviving are her husband, Richard S. Schneider, Sr.; and sons, Fred Allen Horne and wife, Terra, and Richard S. Schneider, Jr.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, 901 Vine Street, West Newton.  A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church, 820 Plummer School Rd., West Newton.  Everyone is to meet at church.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com.
